The Dress

This is a stunning Pallas Couture Merla dress. When I saw this dress I knew I had to have it. I got married in Mexico and I knew this dress would be perfect for a beach wedding. The Merla is part of Pallas Couture's La Lerne Spring NYC Collection - as seen on the Pallas Couture website and the last photo attached above.

The dress has a sweetheart top and currently has padding in it which can easily be taken out if needed. The dress is is more cream than a stark white. It has a nude inner lining which allows for the French lace to pop beautifully. The dress has boning which helps keep the structure of the dress and prevents it from slipping down. The back of the dress is nothing short of stunning. The French lace is sheer on the back and the button closure gives for an amazing elegant and princess effect.

The dress is fitted around the bust, hips, and through the thighs (at least on me because I have "athlete thighs") then flares out below the knee. A stunning medium length tulle train is easy to manage and nicely weighted to give it presence without needing to be too long. The dress has been equipped with loops for a French bustle. The dress is easy to manage and dance in. The dress came with embroidered and beaded arm cuffs which I choose not to wear but will be included with the sale. They can be worn during the ceremony and then removed during the reception to offer a different look.

The dress had been dry cleaned for $300 and has come out looking great! The bottom layer of tule was a bit of a nuisance to clean and the dry cleaner was being very conservative, there is a small tint (beige in color) remaining on the bottom layer of the tule only. It is not too noticeable when worn. Also remember that a long veil would definitely cover this area during the ceremony and during the reception the dress will get dirty. Additionally, I think another trip to a dry cleaner could fully remove it.
