About the Dress

Watters Palm Springs wedding gown in Ivory - a dream to wear in all it's exquisite tulle loveliness!

PURCHASE
This dress was purchase from Bella Donna Bridal in Woolloongabba, Qld, for $2530 in 2013. Since our wedding in November 2013, the dress has been professionally dry-cleaned by Leons Drycleaners and is in exceptional condition.

THE DRESS
I wore a hoop underneath the dress to give it extra volume, I took the hoop off later in the night. The hoop was rented from Bella Donna Bridal.

The black velvet belt is ribbon and is gently tacked into the dress. It can easily be removed, or alternatively could be beaded or have a flower or feature added to it, or perhaps a bow at the back.

At the back of the dress a small crystal has been sewn in to enable the train of the gown to be bustled, the dress falls beautifully when bustled - see the picture where I'm dancing, the train is hooked up in that photo.

The tulle is incredibly light to wear yet still voluminous. The bodice is boned to give great structure and shape. I wanted to wear a bra and was able to with this dress, though if you preferred not to, the structure of the bodice would keep everything in place.

SIZING
It is a Watters Size 4 (approx Australian size 8/10), in the standard length.
I am 168cm tall and wore 5cm heels on the day. The length of the dress was not altered.
My measurements on the wedding day were (approximately) 93cm bust, 71cm natural waist, 93 cm hips (actual hips, just below belly button). the dress is not restrictive at all below the hips where the bodice finishes. The very tip of the bodice was altered to ensure it did not gape, no other alterations were made to the gown.

THE EXPERIENCE
I fell in love with this gown the minute I laid eyes on it. It was such a joy to wear on what was a perfect day - it made me so incredibly happy and I know it will do the same for you.
