The Dress

This beautiful silk wedding dress was my wedding dress this past December. I bought it used for $1200 and it was incredibly flattering and roomy. I changed the back so that it now has a corset, lace-up back (with hidden interior zipper.) I found this a beautiful and easy dress to fit into -- I was worried as I was gaining some size up to my big day with all the stress, and it accommodated me perfectly at all stages!

The hidden layers of crinoline are complex -- they had my sister and bridesmaids a little stumped -- but it tucks in at the bottom giving the whole gown a gorgeous, almost "mushroom-cap" shape at the very bottom. The way we arranged it, the toes of my shoes were just visible and there was a very slight train in the back.

I've now professionally dry-cleaned it again, and hope it can bring someone as much joy as it did me! Please take note it takes up quite a bit of space, so I haven't thought of preserving it for future generations as our apartment is a little tight for it

Alterations

The zipper on the back was removed and replaced with a matching corset lace-up back. It has a panel underneath to cover your skin, so this allows you a little more room if you need it but can also be used to draw in the dress a little more tightly if needed as well.
