The Dress

The dress was absolutely perfect for me. The lace is beautiful but not so delicate that you feel you can’t move or enjoy yourself. It is wet well made and comfortable to wear; it is not heavy or restrictive but I still felt secure in it all day. There is some structure in the upper front of the dress. I wore it with a backless body/bra underneath that I had modified slightly to avoid anything showing.

The train is not too long and definitely not cumbersome (something I had been worried about) but I added the fish hooks on the back to allow me to hook the train up properly for first dance etc.

For me, this dress was the perfect balance between beautiful and elegant without being too impractical.

It has been dry-cleaned. You will be able to tell it has been used but there are no faults in it and it will look brand new again once on a beautiful bride!

Alterations

The straps were both shortened by 1-2cm.

Small white elastic loops were added to the back of the straps to allow a bra/body strap to be posted through and keep it aligned with the dress strap.

Two small white fish hooks were added to the back of the skirt to allow the train to be hooked up for dancing (see picture). Hooks barely visible and easily removable.
