About the Dress
This is an extremely unique and elegant wedding gown ideal for a destination wedding or intimate small reception. The gown was designed by LOVER THE LABEL, an Australian brand name. The dress is called "Jasmine" from their White Magic Collection. The gown is vintage inspired, classy, romantic with a hint of sexy sophistication. It is a size 8-10 US/12 UK/12 AU.
My fiancé and I eloped in Havana, Cuba in January of 2016. Cuba is a very sentimental and dear place to our hearts, we call her the dignified old lady. She graced us with her timeworn and magnificent presence; she is a country of indefinable magic! I think the photos speak for themselves.
The Jasmine gown was perfectly befitting Havana's gorgeous Spanish and Moorish colonial aesthetic. I looked far and wide for a truly unique dress because as a seasoned wedding consultant I have seen almost every kind of gown under the moon and sun. I like to think of myself as somewhat unconventional and when I accidentally stumbled across this beauty in photograph I was led to Australia. Luckily I have a friend who lives there and she made the purchase on my behalf and shipped it to me to Canada. I am a lucky girl! We have nothing even remotely like this in North America. This dress is feather-light, which is something many brides do not consider when they purchase those generic bulky synthetic polyester gowns. I recall nearly 90% of my clients sweating during trials and then nearly dying during the wedding trying to get out of the dress! My advice, spend a little more for a quality gown made of natural breathable fibers, look absolutely stunning and feel awesome while you strut your stuff :)
I purchased this gown brand new for $3600 with shipping and customs fees, I am asking $2000 and I will include your shipping for free. I had the dress professionally cleaned from a reputable bridal cleaners in Toronto. I never wore the original slip because I wanted a blush toned underlay, so you would be getting a brand new unworn slip. I had a professional couture dressmaker who worked for Ines di Santo cut out a V-neck to open up the neckline. The V-neckline is much more flattering as it softens the bust line for a more feminine look and creates a more slender silhouette through visual illusion by drawing the eye vertically. The original design of the neckline is boxy and does not suit the majority of body types unless you have a fairly long neck and slender build. But this is of course only my professional opinion and by no means is the rule.
I hope this dress will be loved by another lucky bride. It is so worth it!
