The Dress

PRICE REDUCED $150 TO COVER DRY CLEANING COSTS

This dress managed to make me feel both sexy and elegant. A satin trim at the waist connects the lace bodice to the crepe skirt. The lace bodice is studded with a handful of sequins and holds you securely with the corset back. (The corseting and padded cups function like a built-in bra.) The full skirt spins out when you twirl to reveal a high slit up the left leg. There is a hidden zipper at the bum that reaches up to the lace trim, where it meets the corset strings. More modest brides can insert the optional bodice liner, which still leaves the back open through the corset. No bustle to deal with, this dress was perfect for our backyard family wedding. Needless to say, it was worn only that one day, and there was no heavy use of the dress with just 19 of us. Though you might need to trim a stray thread of lace on the day, and it will need to be cleaned (see Photo 4). It will be shipped in a rolled garment bag. Please see details on alterations below.

Alterations

Train removed to convert into floor-length dress (for 5'4" woman with 3.75" heels). Fake buttons removed from the rear. Bodice taken in slightly at the sides, but corset back provides flexibility in size. (I still had plenty of room in the cups...) Satin trim at waist also taken in, though the dress did not fit very tight there.
