The Dress

Size 4 Catherine Deane dress with slight alterations, see description. The very edge of the hem is slightly darkened (only noticeable if you are looking closely) and could be fixed by re-hemming. Otherwise clean and in good condition. The underlayer is champagne silk with white silk chiffon skirt overlay and white lace bodice overlay. The chiffon wrinkles easily when dress is not hanging, so I recommend hanging it in the bathroom after a steamy shower--this is what I did to remove the wrinkles for my wedding day. It is a beautiful dress, and I was keeping it for sentimental value but I would love for someone else to enjoy it!

Alterations

Tailor brought in bust a little on the sides and shortened the shoulder lace straps to bring the bust up (I wear 34 B or 32 C bra). The dress came with sewn-in cups which were enough that I did not need a bra. There are clear plastic support straps under the shoulder lace straps and these were shortened by binding with tape instead of cutting, so they remain adjustable and your tailor could shorten these straps to whatever length you need. I'm 5 foot 6 1/2 inches and I wore flats and it touched the floor in the front. The tailor shortened the back so the train was a few inches long in the back.
