The Dress

Martina Liana 1443 - size 12, I usually wear a street UK 10/12. This dress is now truly one of a kind, due to the main alteration I had made by a professional bridal seamstress to the bodice, lining it with ivory on the front and cups, whilst retaining a sheer section at the back (visible in photo of cake cutting). The details and boning remained visible and a real statement, but I felt more modest with the front of the dress opaque in ivory, especially over the cups.

Other alterations -
-Length hemmed to my height of 5ft 8/173cm without shoes, plus 6.5cm heel, so this dress is still very long with scope for further hemming, or could be worn by a bride up to 5ft 11 in flat shoes.

- bustle and wrist ribbon added to manage the train. I wouldn’t have survived the day without them!

- very slight adjustment to the top of the dress, pinching the top of the cup (under the arm) slightly to the boning, to encourage the cups to come inwards slightly to provide more coverage. This did not change the size/tightness around the back, only encouraged the top of the cups to sit flatter against my chest.

-Removable Lace appliqué straps added using buttons already present inside the dress. Unfortunately one of these did detach from its fastening loop when I removed them later in the night, but could be repaired if you’d like the straps included.

Absolutely beautiful lace that I fell in love with, with incredible details throughout with 3D appliques, gorgeous full-A line shape, boned bodice for lots of support, and a zip fastening concealed by buttons. I had loads of compliments all day on the dress, and really felt amazing in it. It’s not your standard looking wedding dress, I really felt like the beautiful lace makes it stand out. *The Dress is currently being dry cleaned by a bridal specialist. After wear it has the expected dirt around the bottom of the hem from a November wedding but no other marks or damage. Condition will be updated on the listing if needed once collected. *
