The Dress

I bought this dress after trying it on at a BHLDN Store in New York 2 weeks before my wedding when I suddenly found myself without a dress! It was such a great last minute fun experience with my friends, with a crazy no dress situation turning into a beautiful dress I never imagined!

The BHLDN "Opaline" is an elegant simple yet standout dress with beautiful long train, and lovely low back with a beautiful gathered look to where the back falls into the skirt and the train. It also has pockets which is another super bonus! Perfect for lippie or tissues hidden away for quick access!

The best compliment I got from an onlooker sums it up: "What a magnificent dress - It's just enough, and not too much!".

That was definitely the look and feel I was going for, and that compliment is what this dress is all about. It's also why I am selling it - I got it out a few months ago for the dressmaker to quote altering it to a shorter dress I could wear again. But in the end I couldn't bring myself to change it and possibly ruin what is a lovely wedding dress that deserves to make at least another bride feel fabulous.

The fabric has a nice soft heavy satin feel which is why the dress hangs beautifully without it looking heavy.

I am a size 8-10 and I would say the dress sits somewhere between these 2 sizes if I had to pick. It will
suit someone with a small to medium bust. I have small A/B cup breasts and am tall at 178cm / 5"11". I made no alterations to the dress and it was just great as is (bust is pre-padded into shape, but as I am small in that area, I also added a couple of stick on padded helpers!)

In beautiful condition ready to float down the aisle again, there are a few expected light marks near the hem/train that you really have to look hard for - they are not something guests would notice and you really have to search for them. Comes with original BHLDN dress bag.
