The Dress

Custom made Suzanne Neville dress based on the 'Heather' dress from Songbird Collection. The dress features a sweetheart neckline with a beautiful silk organza A-line skirt and train. There is a lace corset behind the buttons making you feel secure on the day. I chose to have a detachable lace bolero with full length sleeves for a more classic, elegant look, with a deep V back. I detached the lace bolero for the evening, leaving a simple sweetheart neckline dress with a beautiful silk waist band.

Originally bought from Carina Baverstock boutique costing £3850 (excluding the veil). I was a size 8 UK size (although the dress was purchased from Suzanne Neville as a '11 standard size' and then altered to fit me- I gather wedding dress sizes come up small and this dress was taken in a lot) It would be suitable for a usual UK size 6, 8 or 10. My height is 5ft 4 and I wore 2.4 inch heels.

The dress has been dry cleaned. There is around a 1 inch in height rim of markings around the entire circumference of the lower end of the train, however this could easily be cut off for a shorter bride. There is also a very slight mark on the front of the bodice. This wouldn't show if wearing the lace bolero and may well come out with a further dry clean.

This dress was worn with love and I would be so happy for it to make someone else feel as elegant and beautiful as I did on my big day!
