The Nova Cocotte is a gown with great historical influence, first designed for the Autumn-Winter 2005/06 Vive La Cocotte collection. The corset and neckline are inspired by fashionable high society women of the 18th century – which sweeps across the shoulders and cinches at the waist. The skirt falls from the hip in a soft slim A-line, folding and flowing delicately to create a drape reminiscent of ancient Greek statues. The dress has just an incredible feminine fit that works amazingly well for versatile figure types and accentuates very much the waistline.

I went to Paris to try on several dresses, Vivienne Westwood was the last store I visited and I just fell in love with the dress immediately: 100% silk, luxurious, elegant and understated look.

The dress is very worth its price. All of the other dresses I have tried in Paris might have been 25% less in price but they were all polyester and not worth in my view more than 500 EUR. All other designers simply do not make 100% silk dresses any more as the fabric is too expensive, compromises their margins and is also difficult to work with. But Vivienne Westwood is just an artist and makes the most comfortable but also elegant, sleek, sexy-looking wedding dresses.

Alterations
I had a small alternation recommended by the Vivienne Westwood Couture Bridal store in PARIS to bring the sleeves a bit together at the top. It is a popular alteration as for a small figure it will even more bring out your waistline. However, the dress is easy to revert to the original.
No other alternations were needed to be done to the dress- it is the original I bought in Paris. No length change – it was perfect with my high shoes.
