The Dress

I love this dress dearly and am sad to part with it, but can't justify keeping it in my closet when someone else can experience as much joy from it as I did. This is an original "Jamie" Mira Zwillinger couture dress. The internal corset allows for that "cinched" waist look while also keeping it comfortably and securely in place throughout hours of dancing, and the relaxed lower half meant I felt free to eat/drink/bloat and still feel confident in pictures. I wore this dress from 9 am until 11 pm and it didn't budge, which was one of my concerns about a strapless dress. The weight is anchored at your waist, rather than your underarms/top, which makes it both more comfortable and more flattering.

Dress was cleaned and preserved by J. Scheer, the premier cleaning and conservation company, after one-time wear on my wedding day. This means the dress won't yellow with time and the fabric won't degrade since all the skin oils from the one-time wear were removed. Dress comes in the conservation box with white gloves for handling.

Alterations

This is a couture dress so it was made to be slightly bigger than my sizes listed above. The bustier top is slightly translucent, so I had my seamstress sew in two neutral bra cups - these were removed during the cleaning process but can easily be added back with cup size of your choice. The seamstress also added an American bustle with small buttons (virtually undetectable when the dress is unbustled) - see picture above for how it hangs when bustled.
