Description:
An elegant gown that is both comfortable and effortlessly glamorous, this ivory “Leah” gown by Lisa Gowing has a subtly sequinned bodice and straps, and a lustrous ivory liquid silk skirt in a slim A-line. The light but firm structuring in the bodice and defined cups mean you won’t need a bra and your bust will look amazing (regardless of how much is there to start with).

Separating the bodice from skirt is a thin band of diamantes set in antique silver which both blends and contrasts beautifully with both halves of the dress and really defines the waist. The back of the dress scoops to mid-back, fastened by a row of ivory silk-covered buttons. The small train also has an in-built ribbon-tie bustle underneath the skirt so that the liquid silk falls beautifully and keeps its shape even when bustled. No need for a special bra, petticoat or anything else – this dress just slips on and speaks for itself.

Condition: Worn only once at an indoor event, the dress has been dry-cleaned to perfection so is in excellent condition with no marks.

Size: I am 174cm (5ft 8.5in) and wore 3.5in heels, with the dress just brushing the ground. Label size is 10 but felt much closer to an 8; currently resized to a size 6 bodice but I ensured it could be let out again. See "Alterations" for more detail.

Alterations:
The dress started as size 10 apparently (felt more like an 8), currently reduced the bodice to a 6 with a simple button alteration, but kept all the fabric in there so it can easily be re-altered to an 8 or possibly a bit more. I am more than happy to recommend the wedding dress specialist who did the initial alteration.

This dress is very versatile in style. This dress had guests complimenting me weeks and months later. Quite honestly, wearing this dress was like being a star for just one night. Absolutely magical.
