What should I do if someone asks me to pay outside of Stillwhite?
If you're being asked to pay for your dress outside of Stillwhite (eg: a direct deposit or bank transfer), you may be at risk of fraud.
Ask the seller first
Sometimes a seller may ask you to pay outside of Stillwhite simply because they don't know the rules. As a first step, give them the benefit of the doubt and ask them to request payment through Stillwhite chat. You may even send them a link to this help topic.
Report off-site payments
If a Stillwhite seller continues to ask you to pay off-site or through another company (other than PayPal), don't make the payment and report it to us.
To report a seller:
Website
- Visit your Inbox
- Open your conversation with the seller
- Click the actions menu icon at the top of the page
- Select Report and complete the form
- Click Report
Mobile app
- Select the Inbox tab and
- Open the conversation with the seller
- Click the actions menu icon at the top of the screen
- Select Report and complete the form

PayPal errors
If the seller has requested payment, but you can't continue due to a PayPal error, please ask the seller to follow these steps. If the error persists, the seller may send you a PayPal Money Request directly. This method is safe and the same PayPal buyer protection applies.
