The Dress

Stunning ‘Sierra’ dress by Australian designer, J Andreatta - purchased from Amare Bride Atelier in the UK and handmade in Australia.

Worn at my wedding last October (2023), the item is from the designers [removed] collection - I haven’t actually seen this dress worn by any other bride so it’s definitely nice and rare (the dress was ‘made to order’ so was handmade in Sydney for me and to my size). The dress features a boned corset body, coupled with a pinafore-style criss-crossed back and a beautiful a-line skirt. The embroided ivy is also hand sewn on which is incredibly beautiful and delicate - I got so many comments about the intricate and gorgeous detailing of this feature.

The item has been professional dry cleaned by a specialist bridal service, Terrington Burchett. I used the ‘Elegance Cleaning package and Classic Design Preservation’ service to ensure the dress is wedding ready for its next owner so it’ll come in a bridal box along with its original packaging and labels. This cost £245 - happy to supply a receipt.

The dress is made from 100% silk and is incredibly light and comfortable to wear - I had an extra layer of silk added to the skirt for a bit more volume and to create a beautiful silhouette which I didn’t regret after getting my photos back!

As pictured, the dress also has several beautiful buttons on the front and back, allowing you to adjust the height of buttons at the front if you wish to have more or less knee visibility (I wanted a romantic, casual and European feel to my whole look and opted to have quite a bit of the buttons at the front undone so my blue shoes could be visible).

The dress was made to my size and also features custom elements which I added to customise the order - this includes 1) the extra silk skirt layer 2) light blue top stitching across the corset section (pictured) and 3) additional embroided ivy added to the waist and straps.

At the time of being measured I was a true UK 8 and by the time my wedding came around I was closer to a 6 in the waist but still an 8-10 in the bottom / bust. Please peruse the dimensions I have supplied - I am currently pregnant so I can’t easily measure myself truthfully now! I am also 164cm tall and wore the ‘Loeffler Randal Camelia’ heels which have a heel height of 3.5”.

Kindly note this item has slight wear marks on the train and hem area of the skirt as my wedding was outdoors. Because the train is so full and long this is not hugely visible and is slight - you could also explore having a dressmaker hem this off if desired. I changed into a reception dress so this item was only worn from 2pm - 7pm and everything else is in wonderful condition.

Item will be sent in in a bridal box alongside its original Amare Bridal carrier bag only using DHL. The cost of postage will also include insurance for the item to ensure it’s fully covered while in transit.
