The Dress

For the bride looking for a combo dress which is on trend with lace, traditional bridal with silk bodice and also a bit sexy, this is the one for you!

I bought this dress from the iconic Mariana Hardwick store in Brunswick, Melbourne where it retails for $7000.

The more traditional ivory silk corset bodice has been given a modern update with a variety of intricate lace detail hand sewn along the bust and panels. The fit and flare style hugs in all of the right places with an incredibly flattering sweet heart neckline. Layers of romantic lace flow from the bodice into a beautiful train, making this dress so perfectly unique. The back is finished off with elegant pearl buttons that feels like a subtle nod to the traditional wedding dress.

It’s a size AU 8-10 and I had it slightly altered to fit more snug in the bust. I’m 5 ft 8 inches tall and wore a medium height heel and did not need to alter the length at all.

I have had this dress specially dry cleaned by Normas Dry Cleaning, one of the most highly regarded bridal dry cleaners in the Northern suburbs. It has come back in perfect condition and is like new.
