About the Dress

This enchanting dress, both whimsical and glamorous, is fit for a queen. The dreamy Sierra dress - from the Spirit Collection - is an Anna Campbell creation, and carries her signature hand beading and delicately intricate details. The Sierra features stunning layers of vintage-esque lace, sparkling beads, and embroidery that is evocative of flowers and other natural beauty.

According to the Anna Campbell website, the "Sierra is the ultimate in bridal sparkle! Hand-embellished from front to back, the Sierra features delicate silver-toned hand-beading through the bodice and waist, a low open back, and shimmering beaded shoulder loops." Each Sierra dress features the following details:

- Exclusively designed and handmade in Melbourne, Australia.
- All Sierra dresses feature a lace bust and sleeve, hand beaded silver toned embellishment, a 100% Silk Dupion bust, and 100% Silk Satin skirt lining.
- Hand-beaded shoulder loops for extra sparkle and coverage.
- Each Sierra skirt option includes a modern, in-built train that is easily bustled with a single silk-covered button.

This dress features an elastic waistband and can accommodate a range of sizes. The lightly padded bodice would most likely be best for a B or C cup. Though beaded, the dress feels light - I found it easy to move in and natural for frolicking. I think it may be meant to be the lace fit and flair fit, but I think it fits more like a sheath. The dress was a perfect, ground-skimming length for me: I am 5'7" and wore flats.

I felt so lovely and powerful in this dress - it is certainly the most spectacular piece of art I have ever worn - and I hope that someone else can have a similar experience! I received compliments (plenty of "oohing" and "ahhing") all evening :)
I only wore this dress for photos and the wedding ceremony, and took it off before the reception.

This comfortable dress was worn by one other bride before me - she had the top altered and modified it for a larger cup size, and later had it dry cleaned. I exchanged the larger cup size for a smaller cup size that would fit more of a B/C size cup. I also tightened the back strap a bit to create a smaller waist silhouette, but it can be easily loosened or tightened further (Anna Campbell's dresses are meant to be quite adjustable and customizable to each person's unique measurements and needs). There are some tiny flaws: a few loose threads or jewels, or snags, from when the lace catches on the beading as you put the dress on or off (I put a bag around the beaded belt when I store the dress or put it on to help stop some of the beading from catching), as well as some slight spots along the lace hem. I have tried to document the alterations and flaws in the photos (a photo of the altered bust and light spots on the hem in the 7th photo, as well as the slightly darker crystal added to the back where the original crystal bead fell out), but they're quite difficult to see unless you're looking for them because they're so hidden amongst the intricacy of the dress.

With the dress, I would also provide a bag that includes some extra beading, fabric, and lace.
