The Dress

Worn only for a few hours at reception. Pristine condition Rue De Seine Luca gown with nude slip. Label is UK 12 (US 8).  One owner (me!).  Purchased from Lovely Bride in Pasadena, California (have receipt).  Meticulously cleaned to showroom condition by the top couture bridal gown cleaner in Los Angeles (Long Cleaners 90049).  Lovingly stored in RDS garment bag -- along with original tags that were removed -- in clean, pet free, smoke free home. $500 in hand-crafted adjustments and additions by LA's only RDS-recommended alterations specialist (Olivia at A Stitch in Time): lingerie snaps added to keep underslip straps in place; netted sleeves tailored in and tapered around hand to create clean silhouette; waist taken in (~29"); soft shaper cups added to underslip; bustle with numbers to assist with tying; wrist loop for dancing and walking so the beautiful train can flow before bustling. 

A striking showstopper from New Zealand bridal atelier Rue de Seine. Light as a feather, smooth as silk to slip on, comfortable. This ethereal gown flutters in the wind like a dream. I wanted something edgier, and the feather detailing (pheasant and peacock), geometric motifs, fringe, full open back and middle slit that shows off the legs behind a barely-there whisper of tulle had me sold the moment I tried it on. This is everything I wanted the Grace Loves Lace Inca to be, but that dress fell short when I tried it on. If you are going for that boho look and want something truly unique, Luca will not disappoint!

RDS Description

Delicate embroidery and a fine soft mesh, give the Luca gown an ethereal and elegant aesthetic. Beading and fringe trim throughout embroidery keep the gown youthful and unique. Form fitted silhouette to low hip, form fitting sleeves. Full skirt, medium train, boat neck, low back with fringing detail.

Shell – Beaded Embroidered Nylon Tulle, Cotton Trim and Glass beads Lining – Silk/Spandex

Color: nude silk slip and overlay (slip is a separate piece and could be easily swapped out for white for a more formal look)

Gown may be steamed and pressed on a low/medium heat only. Extra care must be given to delicate lace detail. Hang gown using hanger tape. Refer to care label for dry clean advice.
