The Dress

It is really hard to part with dress. But this dress MUST be worn again for someone else to feel like the queen I did!

Berta 17-114 - size 6 US/ 10 UK/Israeli 40, purchased from The Wedding Club, Kensington, London.

DRESS: Pristine Condition. The dress is covered in 3D blossom appliques, with layers of lace (reflecting the blossom tree) and beautiful sparkle appearing through the blossoms from an under layer. The back appears backless, but is illusion tulle, and has a stunning feature of pearls running up the spine and set along the zip. I absolutely loved this feature and the zip really does blend away, but you can remove this if you prefer. This dress complimented my figure but kept me feeling modest with additional blossom appliqués added to cover a bit more boob in the plunge line. These blossoms can also be removed to get the original dress look as they were hand sewn on rather than glued by Berta.

TRAIN: There is a train which un-hooks from 3 pearls and hidden hooks, and has a beautiful detail of blossom flowers trailing down the train. I kept this up the entire day (major regrets) as I had a big poofy overskirt made as an additional accessory going down the aisle.

ALTERATIONS: Alterations/customizations is the extra blossom appliques on the chest but can be easily taken off if you want. ( the stitching is visible on the underside, so would just need to be clipped).

Customised to fit my measurements: Bust: 32.5 Waist: 27.5 Hips: 37 Height: 5ft 6

There is about 4 cm of hem on both sides of the dress (8 cm total) that it can be taken out if needed for tailoring to your shape and of course can be taken in as well. In terms of height I am 166cm and the dress came to my toes with heels on, but there isn't hem to work with here so I would buy the heels after buying the dress.

STORED: The dress has been carefully stored in a non-smoking home with it original Berta Bridal material cover and it’s The Wedding Club London material cover.

DRY CLEAN: This dress is so delicate that the designer recommends hand washing only and not to dry clean with heavy chemicals. So I had this dress professionally hand washed to delicately remove some stains picked up on the wedding day. I recommend you do this straight after your own wedding day as well to preserve the dress.
