The Dress

I've decided to sell my beautiful Sophia gown, along with the matching Grace blouse which are both made by Rue de Seine.

I bought this dress in August 2017 and straight after my wedding I sent it to be dry cleaned, so it has stayed in great condition. Although I'm sad to be selling it, I'm hoping it gets to see another wedding.

The dress was so comfortable to wear on the day, and it even has pockets?! That alone sold the dress to me.

DETAILS:

The Sophia gown is a beautifully simple A-line design with fitted bodice, triangle cups, roule strap and fitted waist yoke. The back of the dress has a zip opening with covered button detail and subtle train. 100% Dupion silk shell. 100% Silk Lining

The grace blouse is 100% French Lace with open back detail, 3/4 sleeve length and button closure at neck.

Alterations

I had the hem of my dress taken up, the straps made shorter and the cups taken in at the side to make them a little smaller.

- The dress is a UK size 8, rue de seine do standard UK sizing, and I didn't change any of this shape.
- I changed the length of the straps so they were shorter, but the seamstress still left length that you could bring back if you needed too.
- I also got it hemmed. I'm 5 foot 4 and the front of the dress touched the floor when I wasn't wearing shoes.

- The blouse is a UK size 10 as I wanted this a little looser, but again it hasn't been touched.

Measuring the front of the dress, the waist to the floor at the front, it is 106cm with a hem of 10cm. The back of the dress from waist to floor is 140.5cm.
