The Dress

I bought this stunning wedding dress in February 2019 and wore it once, on my wedding day in August 2019. The dress was made to measure by Suzanne Neville, based in Knightsbridge, London. I felt amazing in the dress, and received many compliments from family and friends saying how beautiful I looked. The dress is extremely elegant and is beautifully made.

The dress is made of pale ivory tulle and it is very light, making it easy to move around. The bodice goes down to the hips, perfectly defining the waist and tastefully highlighting the bust. The hidden corset lace-up made me feel secure and allowed the dress to mould to my shape. The bodice is elegantly finished with dainty satin buttons in the back.

I am 5 ft [removed] m) and wore 5.1” heels (13 cm). Since the dress was fully made to measure it does not match a standard high-street nor label size (please refer to the measurements above) – however the corset does give some flexibility for brides who might have a 1-2 inches more or less than I do around the waist/bust.

I also have a beautiful full-length tulle veil which I bought for £200 (from Suzanne Neville – so it perfectly matches the dress) that can be included with the dress at no additional cost.

Despite being very comfortable I only wore the dress until the first dance (a total of roughly 5 hours), as I wanted to wear a short dress for the party. The dress is therefore in pristine condition, and has been dry-cleaned professionally by Suzanne Neville’s dry cleaners within a week of the wedding. The gown is packed in a box, with acid-free tissue and a bodice support to keep shape and structure, which is also suitable for long term storage.

Alterations

The dress originally came with 3 petticoat layers, but I removed two to make for a less voluminous and more streamlined, elegant look, whilst still retaining the ball gown style. I have added the delicate satin belt to the dress which beautifully compliments it, whilst also accentuating the waist.
