The Dress

Monique Lhuillier Fall 2019 Maeve Gown and Maeve Bolero

I absolutely adore her (Maeve, the gown!) but she has more life to live! This dress was everything I wanted and more for my wedding day! The lace is so very beautiful in person and photographed wonderfully. Most importantly, I felt comfortable and confident all night in a wonderfully made gown. It also is the MOST fun to spin in come dance time.

The dress is spaghetti strap style with a zip closure in the back and a ballgown skirt with a train and a French bustle (complete with Monique Lhuillier-style color coded bustling).

The dress includes the Maeve Bolero that has button detail on the sleeve and the back- gorgeous detail. It offered me the option of sleeves or straps (for a fun low-key look change in the evening!)

The dress was purchased at the Monique Lhuillier flagship boutique in NYC in February and my wedding was in September. Original receipt available.

Please note: there are two minimally identifiable holes in the tulle on the left back of the gown near one of the bustle buttons- additional photos available upon request.

Alterations

The dressed was hemmed to a 5'10" height (including heels).
The straps were shortened.
The waist was taken in moderately.
The sleeves on the detachable bolero were taken in moderately.
Bust includes padded inserts that are removable- can accommodate a larger chest.
