The Dress

I wore this dress in Tuscany, Italy on October 2019. It is an Impressive ball gown dress with a corset bodice with off the shoulder sleeves, a rosé sheer tulle skirt with handmade flower appliqués.

The back is BEAUTIFUL. It is mostly mesh with some lace flower appliques and corset-style lacing with a silk ribbon. Because of the lacing, it means the sizing is flexible as it can definitely be loosened or tightened as necessary.

The lace flower appliques come down the skirt and there are also a few skattered on the skirt going downwards. The skirt has 3 or 4 layers of tulle and the innermost layer is silk organza.

It has an impressive, long train and a matching veil as shown in the pictures (retailed at £1000) which is included. It is slightly longer than the train. A bustle was created with tiny buttons and hooks to raise the train once the ceremony was over (picture 4)

The material of this dress is light and airy and I was so comfortable in the heat.

This dress has only been worn one day- my wedding day. It has remained in it's original dust bag and hanger since that day in a cool, dark closet -as per recommended on the tag of the dress. I have had it professionally dry cleaned and it is packed with acid free tissues to stop it from discolouring.

SIZINGS

The dress is a Size 40.

I was a size UK10-12 when I purchased the dress and a UK size 8 on my wedding day. Because of the corset back, this dress can be tightened and loosened if needed so I was able to drop 2 sizes and it still fit perfectly!

The dress is slightly see through so I would recommend having a nude slip underneath. I used a very simple but effective maxi nude slip from M&S which was perfect.

When I bought the dress my sizings were:

Bust- 36.5 inches
Underbust-30 inches
Waist- 28.5 inches
High hip- 34 inches
Low hip-38 inches
Hollow to hem-52 inches
Waist to floor -39

Alterations

The dress was shortened to my height which is 5ft 2 and I wore 5.5 inch heels so should be fine for any one who’s height is 5ft 6 and below

I ordered extra appliqué which is included for you to add to the dress if you wish. I detached a couple of the appliqué flowers at the front, they are included (plus extra appliqué) if you wish to reattach.
