The Dress

This Karen Willis Holmes ‘Layne’ gown is made of Ivory Silk Mikado, a unique and rare fabric. It's weight and drape is matched to a heavy taffeta, but with a fine pique structure.

The gown is part of the KWH Bespoke collection, so was made with the top size 9, and the bottom (skirt) a size 10. Would suit a size 8-10, as there were minor alterations (taken in around the waist.)

I am 166cm tall and wore a 7cm heel.

The dress has been professionally dry-cleaned at Leon’s Fine Dry Cleaning in East Brisbane (worth $400). It is in fabulous condition!

Alterations

The gown was taken in slightly around the bust and waist to sit flush. It was also hemmed and bustled. Cup inserts were also sewn into the gown.
