The Dress

Paloma Satin Wedding Dress. I purchased the dress in Phoenix and had the dress altered to my measurements. I am 5' and the dress is altered for 2.5" heels.

It has a sleeveless satin bodice with plunging V-neckline in the front and double criss-cross beaded straps in the back. The satin belt has a beaded applique in the front at the waist providing a flattering silhouette and a fit and flare skirt with beautiful Swarovski buttons down length of skirt covering the invisible zipper. It has a lovely train that was wonderful in pictures and for the ceremony, but not too heavy that it was unmanageable. It gave me awesome shape without being uncomfortable (I was six weeks pregnant at the time too). It has a soft lining and the straps in the back detached at the center cross to make getting in and out of the dress easy.

The alterations to the dress included sowing in breast cups that can easily be adjusted if needed, adding clear buttons for a bustle in the back (3 buttons, one down the center so the buttons line up and one on either side to help distribute the weight) and taking it in a little at the flare. The neckline was also tightened at the straps.

I absolutely loved this dress and would love to keep it, but I don't want it just to sit there and not be enjoyed. I spot cleaned the bottom hem, though there are some areas that may need a bit more work (mostly the inner lining). I am pregnant and bed ridden so it just isn't something I can do. I reduced the price to account for that.
