The Dress

Stunning, mixed panels of patterned embroidery, super-soft lace, which has an all over delicate shimmer/sparkle to it, which is hard to capture in the photographs. Trimmed with beaded straps and waistband, gorgeous low back. Spins like an absolute dream when dancing!

The colour is "ivory creme", ivory lace over a creme layer/underskirt, and is wonderfully flattering. The dress can be worn with or without a petticoat (I preferred it with, as it held out the layers beautifully, and kept the dress away from my legs, making it easier to move).

The dress has a medium length train which has been modified to allow for a French bustle. It was surprisingly easy to walk and dance in!

I had the most wonderful day in this dress, and it truly is so special to see in the flesh/material. The dress has many layers, and holds itself beautifully. No danger of any creasing, as the lace layer is so soft, and the horsehair trimmed hem gives weight to the skirt so that it falls beautifully.

Alterations made (all by a professional wedding dress maker):
- removing the sheer panel in the bodice, bringing the two sides together to make this slightly more modest
- shortening the straps
- French bustle added (the skirts can be attached to the back buttons to hold train up for dancing)
- adding a ribbon to the underskirt to hold the layers up for dancing
