The Dress

This stunning Johanna Johnson wedding dress is an elegant and modern take on the art deco style wedding gown.

Showroom sample - excellent condition - This garment has been worn by celebrities on red carpets or for fashion editorials.

I originally bought this as a sample for my wedding, which was scheduled for June. Alas, world events took place and we had to cancel the wedding and I never got to wear it — the pics are from when I tried the gown on to show you what it looks like on. My loss is your gain. I'm now re-selling at an incredible discount.

The fabric is the most gorgeous champagne colored silk that will shimmer in lights and make your ceremony and first dance incredibly memorable. There are three silk organza panels in the train that give the impression you are walking on water or air. The organza also is featured on the neckline/bust area. It's a size 6 but fits a size 4 or could be altered for a size 2. It has a split in the front so you can see a bit of lower leg and shoes when walking.

Alterations

Barely any alterations. The hem has been taken up a tad. I'm 5'7" and with 3 inch heels this sweeps to the ground. I also had clear buttons put on the back so you can pin it up in an American bustle if you like, but if you don't want them, you can also remove the buttons. These alterations were done meticulously by a specialist bridal tailor. The gown was also freshly dry cleaned by a specialist silk bridal dress cleaner/preserver at a cost of $300.
