The Dress

Calling all petite brides! I've decided I need to let go of my gorgeous wedding dress. It's the Noya by Riki Dalal 'Juliet'. For me it was the ultimate showstopper dress and as soon as I put it on I knew it was the one. Don't let anyone tell you that petite girls can't wear a big dress!

For the size the dress is extremely light and comfortable. It has nine layers in varying shades of blush and ivory so the overall colour is a rich ivory. The straps fall over the shoulders and are detachable and attached with poppers. The bodice is covered with appliqué flowers and boned with moulded cups so you can choose to go without a bra if you want. Then there's the train... It's just beautiful as you can see from the pictures!

Layers: 1 Silk nude base, 5 tulle,1 fully detailed rich lace, 1 embroidered large floral design, 1 final layer tulle lace with occasional floral detail

Measurements are taken directly from the dress and are approximate. I'm not sure whether it could be altered further as it had to be adjusted quite a bit to fit my very small frame.

Waist: 23.5 inches
Bust: 31 inches (with some extra room in the cups)
Hips: Free flowing/Unfitted

The dress was worn once on my wedding day for around 11 hours. It has some marks on the bottom due to the length and has not yet been dry cleaned (can be arranged for the buyer on request, unless you want to sort this yourself). I can't find any noticeable rips or tears but due to the volume of fabric these would be very tricky to find/see anyway. It has been stored in the dress bag since my wedding day in October 2019 and only taken out for pictures.

I'll include the hoop skirt I wore which is as good as new and in a size XS. Also included is the original Riki Dalal dress bag and hangar.

Anyone based in the North East of England who wants to try it on is more than welcome (assuming social distancing allows for it).

I'm happy to consider offers given the very specific nature of the sizing but please bear in mind that including alterations I paid just under £3000 overall.

Alterations

The dress was bought as a UK Size 4 and taken in another inch at the waist, half inch at the bust and the cups were made slightly smaller. The length was taken up considerably to fit my height (five foot plus a 3 inch heel), but because of the layers would work for someone up to an inch or two taller.

I had a bustle button attached at the back and a wrist loop hidden inside the skirts so it's easier to dance and move in later in the night.
