The Dress
I bought this dress at Berta in NYC in July 2019 for my wedding in Mexico in March 2020. Due to COVID, we postponed to November 2020 but we have decided to cancel our Mexico nuptials all together and thus I am no longer going to wear this dress.
It has never been worn aside from alterations and was dry cleaned by the seamstress after alterations were completed.
I can't tell you how many compliments I have received on the unique style, fit, pattern, and sparkle of this dress. It fits like a glove and will truly WOW your guests.
It is an EU Size 38, or US Size 2-4. I am normally a size S/US 4 in dresses. I was down to a size XS/US 2 when I intended to wear this dress. I wear a 34D bra size. I am ~5'7" and intended to wear heels that were 85mm/3.3 inches. Dress falls right to the ground in the front and we left a full train in the back. You can see from photo 7 how long the train is.
Dress is pictured as originally designed in photos 6-8, and as altered in photos 3-5. As you can see from photos 3-5, there is more coverage than the original dress which created a more tasteful look.
Berta 19-119 sheath wedding dress is a straight line masterpiece. Plunging V-neckline, illusions, floral appliques, lace beaded pattern, and low open back make this dress a real piece of art!
Always an artist, Berta incorporates laces and patterns fitting for brides getting married in all venues. This gown, with its unique pattern would be perfect at a country club, lake, beach, or any outdoor setting. With its delicate beading, you can party on all night! Chapel train.

Alterations
I spent almost $2,000 in alterations and they did a truly amazing job achieving what I needed to allow for a perfect fit, as well as more comfort and coverage.
Photos 3-5 are the current state of the dress. The entire top and skirt were taken out ~1 inch at the side seams/back zipper to allow for more room in the bust and hips. The entire dress has been lined with 3 layers of nude, ivory, and lace. A small piece (3 layers of fabric) was added to the each of the sides of the top to allow for side cleavage coverage. The only sheer aspect that remains are the back straps. All 3 fabric layers have been hemmed in the front, train in back was left as is. Bustle was added. Shoulder straps were picked up very slightly to lift the bust as I did take out the removable bust pads. An additional beaded frond (about 1 inch) was added to the front sheer illusion mesh in order to allow for more coverage over the cleavage area. The front sheer illusion mesh was also taken in slightly to allow for a tighter fit. Lastly, the entire dress was rebeaded where necessary if there was any damage as a part of the alterations process.
