The Dress

Elegant one-shouldered custom-made Georgia Young Couture silk ivory wedding dress. Standard UK/AUS size 8. It was expertly created in Georgia’s beautiful Carlton studio and hand crafted with love.

Strong lines, asymmetric ruffled sleeve, luxurious silk fabric and contemporary vibes, this gown is the perfect piece for the modern bride. The dress strikes the perfect balance between classic and contemporary for a bride who wants to look elegant yet stylish. There is a strong distinctive design, difference with this gown which isn’t like anything else you will see on the market! It truly is one of a kind.

While wearing this dress I felt fun yet feminine. The fluidity of the silk fabric allowed me to move and dance easily.

The gown features a structured sweetheart bodice which includes two, spaghetti straps on either side for greater support whilst dancing or lifting up your arms. The unique asymmetry of the dress is achieved with the inclusion of the ruffled, one shouldered sleeve on the left of the dress and a slit on the right side. The ruffled sleeve hooks to the back of the dress with a finger loop and button.

The super soft, matt finish silk fabric feels modern and clean, whilst the sheath silhouette is timeless and provides an elongated and slender look to your silhouette. The dress also has a beautiful, chapel train which can easily be hooked in place by an invisible finger-loop and button, if a shorter length is desired later in the night.

The dress was purchased for AU$6,900 and has been professionally dry cleaned at Laundry Box Organic Dry Cleaners in Port Melbourne (receipt can be provided upon request). It has only been worn once on my wedding day. Comes in Georgia Young Couture dress bag.
