The Dress

Unfortunately, my wedding was canceled, and I never got the chance to wear this absolutely AMAZING dress, but I love it. I purchased the gown from a local designer bridal boutique, who bought it from the original owner. I had planned some alterations: changing the breast cups, adding a bustle, shortening the length in the front, etc., but I made no alterations. The rhinestone trimming and geometrical beading seen in the first few pictures (from the Galia Lahav website) were removed and replaced with white beading, which pairs so nicely with the white couture lace for a more elegant look in my opinion. There is a tiny piece of lace on the side that needs to be repaired (a quick stitch), but it is in great condition.

The measurements listed are my current measurements, and the next to last picture is me wearing the gown (photo by my 5 year old). The fabric has a good amount of stretch, so it fit perfectly even when my weight fluctuated 5-8 pounds up or down (I tried it on regularly over the past few months just to look at it in the mirror 😁). I am 5’9” and even with 4 inch heels, the fabric in the front is so long that anyone will likely have to have the length shortened to walk. This dress paired with a cathedral veil is stunning. I am sad to part with it, but I know it will make someone very very happy.
