The Dress

NEW Australian size 10 (US size 8 on label but US size 6 fit) Oscar de la Renta ivory silk taffeta gown and Oscar de la Renta crystal and pearl sash with white ribbon.

Both items were purchased new, have the tags still attached and have never been worn or dry cleaned. This is an absolutely stunning dress but I decided to wear a second dress on the big day. Please note that the photograph of the bride wearing the dress is another bride who bought the same dress as me.

Ordered and purchased through Oscar de la Renta stockist Helen Rodrigues (located in Sydney). The dress was made in the USA and shipped to Australia - it has not had any alterations and comes as it was shipped. Also included are the original Oscar de la Renta hanger and dress bag.

The dress has been stored in its original dress bag. I have noticed some discolouration on the inner lining of the bodice (cannot be seen when worn) as can happen with natural fibres over time. Happy to share further photos as I have the maximum number of photos added to the listing.

Gown: This beautiful ivory silk taffeta gown was made to fit me - I am an Australian size 10 (depending on the designer). Without shoes my height is 5'9 and the dress was measured to fit me with heels so can be worn by someone taller, or could be shortened. It has a fitted corset sewn into the dress with beautiful layered detailing, and a ball gown skirt with a slightly ballooned hem (no visible hem). The dress is one piece and not a separate bodice and skirt. Underneath, the skirt has several layers of tulle to give it shape, but it is surprisingly light. The gown also has an invisible zip down the back with a hook and eye at the top.

Sash: Adjustable tie around the waist style ivory-white satin with crystal and pearl detailing. 210cm long and 3.5cm wide. I was planning to wear the sash at the reception after I took off the veil to add some sparkle.
