The Dress
This was a beautiful, light weight, comfortable summer dress. It was perfect for our small backyard August wedding of 50 people. It felt elegant yet approachable.
The gown is two pieces. It has an under slip along with an overlay lace dress. See the black and white photo for further detail. Please note the rough edging yet tailored neckline and sleeve cap.
The dress was professionally cleaned immediately following the wedding. It is in excellent condition! Due to Covid the celebration was short. We did not have dancing nor an after party. I wore the dress (outside of fittings) from 4pm - 11pm. There are no stains or rips in the lace/dress that I can see after thorough inspection.
Alterations
Sleeves were taken in and capped. The sleeves originally had three times the amount of fabric and had a draped look. Interior slip was altered to fit my body along with exterior overlay around the waistline. A French bustle was added.
