About the Dress

The dress was originally purchased from an established wedding boutique in Leeds city centre. The dress was altered to fit me and I am usually between an 8 and a 10 when buying clothes on the high street.

It was the perfect dress and I felt amazing in it. It was comfortable all day but felt incredibly special and the intricate lace and detail was beautiful. Even through the dress has been worn there’s still lots of life left in it and it seems a huge waste to be sat in a box. The lace is quite heavy duty and so the condition of the dress is excellent except around the train where it has been on the floor which I imagine could easily be cleaned up with soapy water and because of the Ivory colour and detail isn’t noticeable unless you look up close. The train can also be bunched up and tied to make it easier to dance etc. I have tried to show the marks around the train on the photographs.

Alterations

The dress has cups inside for support with it being backless and the dress was altered to fit at the time.
