The Dress

Stunning, elegant Louvienne gown is new, has never been worn, and has not been altered. The wedding was canceled. The bodice is a slightly stretchy taupe underlay, covered in ivory Alençon lace. Boning and sewn-in bra cups shape the bodice. The flared skirt is a soft, matte, ivory stretch crepe — both exterior and lining. The skirt fabric provides a beautiful, slimming drape. Ivory spaghetti straps complete the bodice. Extremely comfortable to wear.

Ordered extra long for a 6-foot height with shoes (5’11” without shoes). The “hemline” is actually the gown’s edge seam joining the exterior skirt to the lining, so it can be easily and invisibly altered. The dress has never been altered, so measurements are “as made”. The dress is a Louvienne (US) size 8, which equates to a US size 4/6 in most ready to wear clothing.

Condition: The dress is new, having never been worn other than to try on. Wedding was canceled. Perfect on the outside and nearly so on the inside — the only tiny flaws are inside, in the lining. It was briefly consigned and returned with a nearly invisible smudge inside the dress near the hemline, and a tiny thread pull, also in the lining. Both areas are located in the lining and cannot be seen from the gown exterior. Additional photos upon request.
