The Dress

This is a gorgeous, elegant dress.

34C-D bust
27.5" waist

This sweetheart strapless gown is made of luxurious crepe and features clever princess seams designed to flatter your shape in this fit and flare bridal gown. The unique seam design is precisely the detail that caught my eye and made this gown stand apart from the rest! It has an art deco flair that is elegant and unique.
It flatters the lower half, highlights your waist, and flaunts your neck and collar bones.

The cathedral train is absolutely gorgeous and will definitely make a statement when you walk down the aisle! It bustles into a beautiful full skirt for the reception. This gown is incredibly elegant, and your body is the star of the show.

The low-back and button detail are gorgeous and draw the eye toward the stunning chapel-length train. There is a hidden zipper alongside the buttons to make getting dressed easier. It has a waist stay, and it is very bra-less friendly. I had my seamstress add bra cups, but I would recommend you getting cups made for you (this is very inexpensive).

The inside liner is so, so soft and the crepe exterior had enough weight to it that you won’t feel like any lump, bump, or dimple is on display. I wore shapewear under it, no bra. I wouldn't recommend any elaborate undies that might show through - I initially wanted to wear a waspie, but the boning showed through the crepe. You really don't need much under it!

ALTERATIONS:

I altered the bodice for size and the hem for length, and added a bustle. The skirt size was not altered.

The original gown (Size 10) measurements were 36" Bust (taken in 1") 28” Waist (taken in 1") and 40" hip (unaltered).

This gown was originally a bridal size 10, and fit like a street size 6, maybe on the tight side. I’m a size 4 and had the bodice fitted to my measurements (approx. 27.5" waist and 34C bust). This dress will fit you well if you are within 1-5 inches from that measurement - feel free to message me if you are not sure. It was taken in about an inch, so it can be taken in up to another full size. [You might notice the dress is a little loose on me in the pictures, this was due to some unplanned pre-wedding weight loss. Please go by the measurements.]

The skirt size was not altered. I didn't want it to be too form fitting, so I left it at the original size. I would say it probably comfortably fits a 40ish inch hip. It can be taken in to fit a smaller hip.

The hem was altered to fit me while wearing 5 inch heels! (I'm 5'2".) My very lovely seamstress was careful to leave a few inches of extra fabric so technically you can add a couple of inches to the hem if you are pretty tall. If you're taller than 5'6", feel free to message me with the length of your shoes and we will figure it out.

I had a bustle added, and you will have to have your seamstress add a new one made to your measurements (this goes for any dress you buy, new or used.) The skirt looked absolutely beautiful with the bustle - almost better than with it down! I will update with a picture when I receive them back from my photographer.

The dress will come with a garment bag, and it will be appropriately packaged & shipped with the utmost care. If you live in or are willing to travel to the Philadelphia area you are welcome to inspect the gown.

The dress has been dry cleaned after use.

Alterations

Dress was taken in about one size (bodice only) and hemmed. There is an existing bustle but as with any bustle, you should probably get one done to your measurements.
