The Dress

Alison Davis is a Sydney based couture wedding designer. This gown has been designed and made by hand in their Sydney studio.

The original RRP is $6600. I bought this when it was on sale for $3600 and wore it for our beach wedding.
The bodice has beautiful beading, a stunning silk skirt and the tulle overlay. The tulle overskirt is great to wear for the ceremony and then you can take it off for the reception, like having two dresses! I loved it because it felt simple but with a little something special.

The dress is really comfortable - easy to adjust as it is a tie halter neck.

This dress would suit someone who is petite. I am 152cm tall (with no shoes) and a size 6 - I found most dresses I tried on a little overwhelming on my body type but this one was perfect, with the v-neck and halter neck it gives the illusion of height!

I will include the veil also (RRP $399) for whoever buys this dress. I really hope I can pass this on to someone for their special day rather than it just sit in my cupboard for years!

I have had the dress dry cleaned by Australian Bridal Dry Cleaners for $450 (photo of dress by itself is post cleaning). There is one very small (1-2cm) mark on the back of the dress that wasn't able to come out - hence the heavily discounted price (I can send you photos of this). I don't think it will be overly noticeable. I wore a belt also with the dress which is not for sale. In hindsight I don't think it needed the belt anyway.
