The Dress

This never-worn sample is in great condition! Size 10, never altered! It was purchased at a bridal boutique in NYC in late 2019 for a wedding that was later cancelled due to the pandemic. The beading and sequin work is beautiful, with cascading gems and sparkle down the A-line dress. The strapless, sweetheart neckline is cut at a more modern angle, giving the dress an edge without losing the dreaminess of the softly folded tulle and the embellishments. The layered, beaded and tulle bodice has wrap-around effect that conceals the sturdy and comfortable boning within. The beading and sequins are distinctive and unusual, with various sizes and colors sewn into flowing vines down the skirt. It reminds me of something designed for the Little Mermaid (if she was sophisticated and elegant). The back forms a gorgeous line and draws the eyes to the waist, a slimming effect I particularly love. The ivory-lined skirt is overlaid with several lightweight layers of tulle in light shades of blue, pink and alabaster. It flows into a subtle train in the back that can be easily bustled. I am not a fan of wedding dresses, in general, but this one really stood out to me! Notes on wear: a few folds on the bodice have come loose but are a quick mend and there's a wobbly gemstone that should be tightened into place. It was tried on by brides in the boutique, so the ivory lining is not 'untouched by human hands', but the material is remarkably high-quality and its it very good condition. Ask any questions!
