The Dress
Designer Justin Alexander's Alivia dress was ordered in size 8 and tailored to the measurements above. The train is the chapel length (shorter than cathedral but still lays out beautifully) and the bustle is perfectly intact. Cups were tailored in for bigger-bust security. The dress is very comfortable on - the top is very snug so it felt secure, and I was specific with the tailor on making sure I could do a variety of dance moves in the dress, which worked!
Alterations
I had the shoulder straps shortened, taken in at the waist and hips, and hemmed. I'm 5'1" and wore 3-inch heels, so at the height of about 5'4", it lightly touched the floor but I was not tripping on it. I wear a size 2 in dresses, but usually a 4-6 in pants. The cup size is a C, and the bust fit such that it was quite snug.
