The Dress

This was my dream dress! Stretch lace, sheer neckline, long sleeves and low back. Its actually a combination of two Karin Willis Holmes dresses: Karina (long sleeves) and Jemma (front split).

I have a biggish bust (12dd) and was struggling to find a dress that I felt comfortable in with the right balance of skin and modesty. The low bodice with sheet lace overlay was perfect.

It was so comfortable to wear all day and dance in all night (the bustle is easy - 2 bowties with ribbon!)
We had quite warm weather and I wasn't too hot, the lace is very breathable.

I am a size 10 and this was true to size, very few alterations made to the sizing (as below, just taken in slightly at the lower back and hips). Happy to take measurements if requested.

Dry cleaned at the recommended store for $440, looks perfect.

Alterations

Added long sleeves (the original Jemma gown has cap sleeves)
Taken in slightly at the hips and lower back.
Hemmed to suit my height 165cm + 5cm heels.
