The Dress

Monique Lhuillier Serenity Strapless Alencon Lace gown in flawless condition - wore for wedding then had professionally dry cleaned (it wasn't even dirty, just had cleaned as good practice). Originally purchased in September 2021 from Mark Ingram Bridal Atelier in Manhattan New York. I had a custom bolero top piece made to match which you'll see in some photos - this is totally separate from the strapless dress (a separate piece that does not attach, goes underneath). This listing is for the original strapless dress only. If interested in the matching bolero, let me know.

The top of the dress is white and technically the underlay is "pale blush". It appears white to the naked eye (as you see in photos), but the very slight blush hint makes the lace pop, which I preferred to the white underlay, which I thought washed out the lace. Again - it appears in person just as it does in photos - like a completely white wedding dress (no one would look at it and think it was blush!).

I tried on a lot of lace strapless dresses and this one blew them all out of the water. The style of lace is extremely delicate and beautiful. The dress itself felt SO comfortable on - did not feel like I was wearing a heavy wedding dress. I felt like I could move freely and dance around, and was so comfortable wearing it all night! I wore the bolero piece for pre-ceremony photos and for the ceremony, then removed it and wore the strapless dress for the reception. It bustles very well as you can see in the video.

I am typically a size 0/2 on top and size 4 on bottom (wear size 27 in jeans). I am 5ft 5.5 inches and wore 3 inch block heels.

Alterations

VERY minor alterations but the dress's original size pretty much fit me like a glove. I wanted the back to go down a bit lower than it did originally, so I had the Mark Ingram (incredible talented) seamstress bring it down a bit which I think made a huge (positive!) difference!
