The Dress

I felt like a Greek goddess in this dress. After 4 stores and several hours of trying on fitted dresses that were tight in all the wrong places and flowy dresses that were too plain, I tried this dress on and felt a huge sense of relief, then excitement as I realized how comfortable AND pretty I could feel in the same dress. I felt like a sexy contemporary dancer meets beautiful, flowy, easy going bride with a little spice once I noticed the two slits in the front. The fabric on the skirt is beautiful while the beading on the top has just enough detail to not feel boring but also not too much.

I absolutely loved this dress and brought it home the same day. I started having second thoughts, not about my love for the dress, how I felt in it, or how beautiful it was, but it just didn't feel right for my venue and my day. I am a dancer and at first I absolutely loved the contemporary look of it, but later decided I wanted something that would be more fitted for my wedding day since I am often in dresses of a similar style.

It is a sample and we bought it as such. There was a stain on the train that I am getting removed via dry cleaning. Other than my trying it on in these photos, it has not been worn. *I am not sure of the actual year it was made but there was no option to not select a year and defaulted to 2022.

It is a beautiful dress that I know will make someone feel absolutely beautiful on their special day, unfortunately it is just not me.

Things I loved about the dress were that I did not feel self conscious about my stomach, butt or legs as it hit my waist perfectly and just dropped in the most beautiful way. I also loved the slits and the way the skirt of the dress moved when I walked. The pads in the chest area would have needed to be enlarged for my taste but the way everything was covered beautifully by the design in the beading was very tasteful in my opinion.
