The Dress

This dress is both stylish, elegant and understated. The upper portion of the dress is bodice lace, cotton, and nylon. The bottom part is polyester with a polyester lining. It is an extremely comfortable and flattering dress, especially for a (hot) Summer outdoor wedding like I had in New Mexico. I love the way the dress fit and felt when I bought it, but I wanted a little more glamour, flair, and uniqueness, so my talented seamstress added a line of beautiful pearls and different shaped rhinestones along the top of the bustline, and in addition, a custom-designed, sequenced belt was added to the dress waistline to add more definition to my waistline and even more glam to the dress. A replacement pack of rhinestones for the belt is included, along with a glue stick. Additional eyelet clasps were added to the back so that I could wear the straps crisscrossed in the back, (as I have scoliosis in my back and wearing the straps the usual way would not work). So, you have TWO different options with these spaghetti straps in the back, regular or crossed in the back. Also, I am an "A" cup, so "B" cup padding was added to the bust to add a little more upfront for my wedding day! (Wink, wink). The total length (on the hanger) from top of straps to hemline is 59" inches. I felt so beautiful, and yes, glamourous in this dress, and I know you will too! Worn one time and has been cleaned. Comes with zippered dress bag.

Alterations

Professional alterations were made by well-known bridal designer, seamstress, theatrical costume designer, Heather Gabriel, "The Singing Seamstress" in Houston, Texas. My talented seamstress added a line of beautiful, continuous small pearls and different shaped rhinestones along the top of the bustline to draw attention to the neckline and to the "girls", and in addition, a custom-designed and made sequenced belt was added to the dress waistline to add more definition to my waistline and glam to the dress. Additional eyelet clasps were added to the back so that I could wear the straps crisscrossed in the back, as I have scoliosis in my back and needed the extra support. So, you have two options with these spaghetti straps, regular or crossed in the back. Also, I am an "A" cup, so "B" cup padding was added to the chest to add a little more upfront for my wedding day! The length was taken up just a couple of inches (to ankle length) so I could wear my cowgirl boots with the dress and not have it drag the ground or trip on it. The total length (on the hanger) from top of straps to hemline is 59" inches.
