The Dress

Never worn, Pronovias wedding dress at over half the original price! Need to sell soon, so happy for people to try on if you're local (based in the Dundee, Scotland).

This was £1,740 new and has only ever been tried in the shop and at home, so is in perfect condition with no tears. The only mark I can find is a very faint make-up mark on the INSIDE of the dress at the bottom of the v-neck as shown in picture.

Bought new from Ivy Lane Bridal in Monifeith and professionally altered by them (all reversible) for my wedding. But then I saw a second hand dress that I fell in love with and had to get it, so this was never actually worn!

It's such a beautiful gown, with soft lace and the most gorgeous type of pleats in the skirt that fall in a flattering way from the hips. It was those pleats and the detail and the back that made me choose it to begin with. Completely backless with a delicate lace loose tie along the top and sweet vintage-style buttons leading down towards the bum. The slip underneath is so soft and comfortable, with the lace outer sliding neatly over the top.

It was originally a size 16 (by small bridal standards) and has been altered to fit me at a UK street size 10, but the length had not yet been altered as I didn't have my shoes at the time, so should cover a bride of any height. I'm 5'5" and standing on a small stool in the photos, it measures 160cm from shoulder to the 'floor' when on the hanger.

The belt in the catalogue photos did not come with the dress, but I preferred a more antique looking belt which I can include at no extra cost. A seamstress can easily sew this onto the dress if you'd prefer not to have the ribbon (this had been my plan), or you could leave it without a belt or add your own.

The measurements are my body measurements (wearing soft bra) at the time of alterations. I'm a 32 DD, bust 92cm, waist 76cm, Hips 106cm.

Alterations

Taken in from a bridal UK16 to a street UK10. The fabric has been seen into the seam rather than cut off so it can be let back out again if needed.
