The Dress

I loved wearing this dress on my wedding day. Macpherson by Chosen by Khya is elegant and classic, but still modern. I loved the square neckline, the flattering bodice and the A-line skirt with full train. The full skirt sits beautifully and the train flows behind you as you walk. The Mikado silk also photographs extremely well.

It is a size 2. I’m a NZ/Aus size 8 and am 5 foot 4.
BUST: 83cm
WAIST: 62cm
LOW HIP: 91cm

I wore it once on my wedding day in February 2022 and have had it specialist dry cleaned since. There are a few small marks around the hem of the dress but these are hardly noticeable. I’m happy to send photos of these on request.

FIT: Fully structured bodice with wide straps and full skirt with side split.
FABRIC: Mikado silk with a lightweight lining.
FASTENING: Centre back zipper and buttons.

Alterations

I had the following alterations:
• dress hemmed a couple of cm
• the split sown up 2cm so that it wasn’t so high
• straps shortened, and
• bodice let out slightly. This was to make it true to a size 2 as the dress was received from the makers slightly out of specification.
