The Dress

I loved wearing this dress and got so many compliments the day of our wedding. It was easy to wear and not itchy. I liked how the back was both interesting and modest, perfect for our ceremony and reception! I am a size 0 in normal street clothes. I am 5'5" and wore Naturalizer Bristol Sandals (2.5 inch heel). I removed the bustle because I didn't want to have to bother with it but the dress still drapes in the back --- so it has a slight train but not one that is long enough to get in your way. I also used extra lace to add cap sleeves which could be easily removed. The bodice was not otherwise modified and the dress was not otherwise hemmed. There is extra matching tulle and additional lace if a bride wanted to add long sleeves for a fall or winter wedding.

The dress was professionally cleaned immediately after the wedding by a vendor who specializes in wedding dresses although there was no stains or damages the day of the event. The cost of the cleaning was $150 USD. Dress was worn for one day only.

Alterations

Extra lace was added to make cap sleeves. The bustle was removed. All of the extra fabric and lace can be sent with the dress. The additional material could be used to make long sleeves if desired.
