The Dress

Hello!

For any brides who are looking for something truly unique: I am selling my one of a kind, bespoke gown, hand pleated and sewn with over forty metres of tulle by Cynthia Grafton-Holt, in London. Really sad I never get to wear it again!

The gown is sheer pleated with a super soft ivory tulle over an under layer of nude tulle and detached, nude corset bodice underneath. The pleating is shaped around the curve of the body and under the butt, then there are three splits with pleated inserts to give the gown a train and plenty of movement, the sleeves are pleated with the ivory tulle and a sheer layer of nude tulle underneath to give it coverage and depth. I kept the sleeves unattached and actually removed them in the evening for dinner - I did also change to another dress for the reception (thankfully, because that second dress is absolutely trashed beyond saving!)

Anyway, the detail really has to be seen to be believed.

For UK brides: Cynthia works from her studio in London and even though I’m sure that she never wants to see another pleat again, it means that if you require alterations to the fit or want to make changes to reflect your own style, you can have this done with the designer, herself.

I wore it with a cathedral length ivory veil which I’m happy to give away with the dress.

For reference: I’m a UK size 8, 38D, 5’3’’ and I had 5” heels on.
