Original Liz Martinez - Marigold gown

I wore the exquisite  MARIGOLD gown, from Liz Martinez's 'Sands 2021 Collection', for my wedding ceremony in September 2022. 

The gown truly is a piece of art with vintage inspired beading and incredibly subtle silver sequin detailing, particularly around the shoulders and waistline/hips. It has fine ivory tulle with nude tulle underneath. The fabric is light, airy and comfortable to move in - perfect for a warm wedding and ideal for any bride who wants to look elevated yet effortlessly elegant. It is a great combination of romantic/ethereal and modern, with its deep neckline, flattering open back and dramatic train.

I purchased the gown new from the designer at an RRP of £8,000 in June of 2022 and it was only worn for a few hours at my wedding ceremony in September, so it is in excellent condition - your guests would undoubtedly see it as brand new.

SIZE DETAILS:
Though the label size is a UK 12, please note I was a UK 10 at time of purchase and it fit me perfectly without any alterations. Thanks to the shape and style of the gown, it would also work just as well for a UK 8 size.

The gown has been professionally dry cleaned and includes extra small round nude lining for breast coverage (not visible when worn and removable if desired). The dress has a nude lining, sewn in by the designer and I also added a nude slip/underskirt underneath for extra coverage, which I am happy to provide if the buyer wishes to have this. Liz cleverly incorporates nude thin circular material sewn into inside of dress to partially cover breast and hold the shape of dress together (not visible when dress is on). The back has a long tulle train which looks impressive in photos and moves beautifully when worn/walking. 

The gown has several layers and all the beading detail is hand sewn and delicate. I wanted to call out two very tiny holes on the back of the tulle skirt (with one even being on the bottom tulle layer). When held against a tape measure, both are only around 1cm long or smaller and virtually impossible to spot unless specifically looking for them for a while. My alterations designer advised against fixing them as they are 'unnoticeable'. I am able to share close up photos of these, upon request.

Alterations

- A hidden loop was added to the tip of the skirt for hand to go through so the long train can easily be held, if needed.
- The back was lowered ever so slightly to make the back opening more flattering.
- Gown was cut to my height. Height + shoe height details included in cm and inches.

No alterations were made based on size. The dress fit me perfectly.
