The Dress

I absolutely LOVED this dress for my wedding day in August 2022.

The way this dress falls is gorgeous. It hugs in all the right places and all it’s details are simply beautiful.

In excellent condition, has no marks/stains, and has been professionally cleaned.

It was very comfortable, I wore it for both the ceremony and reception. It fitted perfectly and allowed for easy movement and dancing.

I purchased the dress from Chloe Jane Bridal, Howden, England for a retail price of £2,000. It was made in Australia by Australian designer, White April. I purchased it in July 2021 and our wedding day was August 2022.

When wearing the dress in the photos, I am 5 foot 2 inches (157cm) in height and 9 stone 8 lbs (61kg) in weight, and a dress size 12.

The dress was available to purchase with the top half (above the empire line) unlined or lined. I opted for lined on the front because, when unlined, the nude cups were visible against my skin tone. However, I kept it unlined at the back which gives a beautiful effect.

Because I am petite in height and have a 36C bra size, when I ordered the dress I arranged for the deep v at the front to be lifted by 1.5 inches than what the original design envisaged, and I ordered additional loose appliques which were later attached over the sheer part, to give me some additional coverage on the bust.

The dress was then altered further to fit me perfectly. The straps were shortened, the hem was shortened, and it was taken in on the back, waist and hips. I also added the additional leaf applique to the bust area as described above.

The dress could easily be altered again, to ensure a perfect fit for you. I can highly recommend the alterations shop that fitted the dress for me, which is based in York. Please just ask if you'd like this recommendation.

The veil is also available to purchase separately, should you wish to. Again this is in excellent condition. This was also purchased from Chloe Jane Bridal in Howden. It is cathedral length and is really soft. It slides into the hair using a comb. I wore my hair down on our wedding day and it fit perfectly, but it would also look beautiful in a "hair-up" style. The retail price was £195 but I am willing to sell the veil for £100.

I really hope I can find a future bride who loves the dress just as much as I do and can feel amazing in it on their wedding day. I would love for it to be enjoyed by someone else.
