The Dress

This is the Lalibela dress from Yumi Katsura. Price includes gown (freshly dry cleaned) and veil.

To say this was my dream dress is an understatement! Photos hardly do it justice-- the lace detail is exquisite. The shape is elegant. There is a glittery under layer that gives just a slight sparkle in daylight but shimmers in a gorgeous way in the dark. I am extremely picky about bustles (I think they often ruin the look of a dress) and I thought this bustle was perfect. The seamstress at Kleinfeld and her boss said that it was the best one they've done in recent memory! I felt like a true queen in this gown, and I want it's next wearer to feel the same!

The dress was dry cleaned immediately following the wedding. It is in near-perfect condition, with the exception of very slight discoloration on the lace at the bottom towards the front of the dress. I genuinely don't think it would be noticeable to the untrained eye. In any case, the price is deeply discounted because of this slight imperfection. The discoloration is shown in the final photo.

The veil is 46'' (fingertip length) and made of the same lace as the dress. It is GORGEOUS, and the length was perfect because it allowed the beautiful detail on the skirt to be fully seen.

More information on sizing:
Bust: 33.5'', meaning 33.5'' across the fullest part of the breast. I typically wear a 32B bra.
Hip: 36.5'' across fullest part of hip, 32'' across hip bone
Waist: Between 26'' and 26.5''.

I wear a size 26 or size 2 in pants across most brands (Rag and Bone, J Brand, Reformation). Occasionally size 25 (Banana Republic, Everlane), or 0 for dresses (Reformation). Usually an XS for shirts, sometimes a S with more fitted styles.

I am confident that if you are a street size 2 or 0, this dress will fit you (of course, you will likely want some alterations to make it a perfect fit). If you are a street size 4, the dress may fit or be able to fit with minor alterations depending on your exact dimensions.

Alterations

Dress was altered from standard size 6 to fit my measurements (as listed in post). Center front neckline raised 1.5 inches from original design, keeping the same shape. Neckline still is on the lower end of V-neck (see my photos and compare to photos listed on Yumi Katsura website and you'll notice a slight difference).
